Everything You Need To Know About WordPress Media Settings
Posted by TotalDCLet’s continue the WordPress basics series by talking about WordPress Media Settings. It is used to set the height and width of the images that you’re going to use on your website.
Here’s how you can access Media settings:
Step 1 – Click on Settings – Media option in the WordPress dashboard.
Step 2 – The Media Settings page is displayed as seen in the following screenshot.
Here’s what these fields in WordPress Media settings mean:
- Thumbnail size − Set the size of the thumbnail.
- Medium size − Set the height and width of medium-size images.
- Large size − Set the width and height of larger images.
- Uploading files − After checking this checkbox, the uploaded image will be arranged into year and month-based folders.
After you are done with the settings, click on the Save Changes button. It saves your media setting information.
